New Health Food Products are Pouring into The Garden Basket!

Hundreds of delicious new healthy foods are lining the aisles of the The Garden Basket! No need to shop at Health Food stores any longer!
For those of you that follow my blog you may already know that I’m a certified nutritionist but you may not know that I’m also the new health food buyer for The Garden Basket.
As I’ve embraced this new role (that I love) I’ve had the chance to attend food shows and learn about so many new and exciting healthy food products and alternatives.
As many of you know, The Garden Basket already carries a great selection of natural and organic foods in all departments including meat, grocery, produce, dairy, bakery and deli. Now we are expanding our lines to bring you even more variety and selection.
Over the last few weeks we have brought in many new natural and organic grocery, dairy and frozen food products and will continue to bring in many more health food products over the coming weeks and months.
As a certified holistic nutritionist and mom, I understand it can be hard to find everything you are looking for all in one store. It's frustrating and time consuming to go to several places especially with kids in tow…lol.
We want to make shopping an easier and more pleasent experience for you! Now you can find even more of the “health food” products you would get at a health food store right at The Garden Basket! How awesome is that?
All of our new products are integrated right into their respective aisles by category. For example, if you are looking for Coconut (palm) Sugar it would be in the baking aisle with the other sugars making it easy to find.

Love this blog, especially your bit on Chia seeds. The chocolate/strawberry pudding has been tried and kid approved in my home as well (especially with my pickiest eater!)
A question about coconut oil. I’ve read that it can reduce blood sugar levels. If so how can I incorporate it into our family meals- (husband has diabetes).
Hi Joanne, thank you for your comment and kind words 🙂 As for coconut oil, it can be incorporated in many ways. Cooking with it is one of the easiest ways. I use it to replace olive oil or any other oil you would normal cook with. Coconut oil has one of the highest heat points making it one of the best oils to cook with. You can also use it to replace oils in baking in a 1:1 ratio. Just make sure you melt it down into a complete liquid, then measure before adding it to any baking recipe. You can also use it as a spread on toast or crackers and if needed add some nut butter over top. Lastly you can buy coconut butter which is different than the oil. It’s the flesh of the coconut creamed. The Garden Basket sells a brand called Artisana and it’s in the aisle beside all the nut butters. It’s tastes heavenly (if you like coconut). It’s fantastic on toast or just to eat right out of the jar! I give my kids a spoonful of this after dinner as their “dessert treat” they LOVE it! I highly recommend it. This is fantastic! Thank you Rosemary, I was wondering where all of these great new products are coming from! You’ve really taken Garden Basket to the next level – better than Whole Foods in my eyes! I’ve introduced it to my family members in Ajax, and they now come all the way to Markham just to shop here. Keep up the great work!
